Three conditions. We check all three with you before you spend anything.

Age

30+

You'll need to be 30 or older on the day you apply.

Citizenship

Nearly everywhere

Open to citizens of every country with diplomatic relations with Malaysia — almost certainly yours.

The only exceptions are Israel and North Korea.

Sponsorship

Everyone needs one

A Sarawakian citizen who is immediate family — or a licensed SMM2H agent registered in Sarawak.

That is who we are — licensed, and answerable for you.

Fixed deposit

RM500,000

Placed in a local panel bank in Sarawak. We open it with you.

Half comes back after one year.

Every month, earned outside Malaysia.

RM15,000 a month with dependants.

Savings

RM100,000

Monthly closing balance, for the three months before you apply.

RM200,000 with dependants.

The programme

The Visa, Your Money, Work and Property

Everything the programme allows, with nothing left out and nothing dressed up.

Duration
5 years, then 5 more. A Social Visit Pass — ten years in total.
Minimum stay
The main applicant must be in Sarawak at least 30 days a year.
Why it matters
That 30 days is the condition for renewal or extension.
Age
30 or older.
Who you can bring
Spouse, parents, and children under 21.
Withdrawing funds
After one year in the programme you may take out up to 50% of the fixed deposit.

What must stay
The balance must never drop below RM250,000.
Part-time work
Up to 20 hours a week in professional sectors — education, banking, manufacturing.

You can be a minority partner, up to 49%, in a joint venture with a local partner.
Money into the business
Minimum paid-up capital of RM250,000.
Must you buy?
No. Purchasing a house is entirely optional.

Minimum property value RM600,000.
